What Items Are Unable to be Stored? 


At Eastlakes Self Storage, you can store various items, including furniture, documents, seasonal items, and more. However, certain items are prohibited for safety and legal reasons:

  • Illegal Goods - Storing stolen property or other illegal items is strictly prohibited.
  • Perishable Food Items - These can attract pests, mildew, mould, and spoil over time.

Hazardous Materials


Items that are explosive, flammable, or toxic cannot be stored. This includes:

  • Radioactive materials
  • Turpentine
  • Grease
  • Gasoline
  • Kerosene
  • Compressed gas
  • Propane tanks
  • Acetone
  • Acid
  • Chlorine bleach
  • Oil
  • Fireworks
  • Fertiliser
  • Paint thinner
  • Paint
  • Wet Items - Ensure all items are dry before storage to prevent mildew and mould.
  • Ammunition and Weapons - Firearms and explosives are not allowed due to safety and liability concerns.
